Getting Started with Premium

Upgrading to Griply Premium lifts the limits on the free plan and opens up subgoals, the calendar features, and the Insights dashboard. Here’s everything you need to know about starting your free trial, how billing works, and where to manage your subscription.

What’s Included in Premium

Griply Premium gives you access to all advanced features to plan, track, and achieve your goals faster:

  • Unlimited goals and habits, where the free plan gives you two of each

  • Subgoals, so you can break a goal into smaller goals rather than only into tasks

  • Habit targets, for habits you want to hit a set number of times per week, month, or year rather than on fixed days

  • Two-way calendar sync to block time for your tasks and habits on your Google or Outlook calendar, and reschedule them by moving the block there (currently in beta)

  • Editing calendar events and responding to invitations from inside Griply, so you can reschedule a meeting, add guests, or RSVP without switching apps (currently in beta)

  • Timeline to see every goal and subgoal laid out across months, quarters, and years

  • Unlimited Smart Lists, where the free plan gives you three

  • Insights, the dashboard tracking how your goals and habits move over time

  • The week view on Upcoming, for planning several days at once instead of one

  • Custom life areas, on top of the nine you start with, plus the ability to delete one

  • Your own images and the full icon library on goals and life areas

  • Access to all upcoming Premium-only features

What Stays Free

Plenty of Griply doesn't need a subscription:

  • Unlimited tasks

  • Nine predefined life areas, which you can rename, archive, and unarchive

  • Goal progress charts and habit statistics

  • Task and habit reminders

  • Three Smart Lists

  • The calendar column on Today, including focus blocks

  • Seeing your Google and Outlook events inside Griply

  • Unsplash images on your goals and life areas

  • iOS widgets

Two lines are worth spelling out. On the calendar, connecting an account and seeing your events is free; what premium adds is the ability to change that calendar from inside Griply, in either direction. On the calendar views, the day view on Today is free and the week view on Upcoming is premium, so a free plan still gives you a calendar to plan against.

What Happens If You Downgrade

Nothing is deleted. If your subscription ends while you have more than two goals or two habits, they all stay visible, and the ones over the limit are locked. Opening a locked one shows the upgrade dialog instead of the item. Resubscribe and everything unlocks exactly as it was.

For a full overview of features and plan comparisons, check out the Griply Pricing page.

Starting Your Free Trial

When you start a free trial, you’ll get 7 days of full access to all Griply Premium features. You’ll need to enter your payment details when starting the trial, but you won’t be charged until the trial ends.

If you decide Griply isn’t for you, you can cancel anytime during the trial to avoid being charged. Managing your subscription is straightforward and explained in detail in the dedicated article.

How Billing Works

Griply Premium subscriptions are handled differently depending on where you start your trial:

On iOS

  • Payment and billing are managed through Apple’s App Store.

  • Your subscription automatically starts at the end of your 7-day trial unless you cancel it beforehand.

  • You can update your payment details, cancel your trial, or manage your plan directly in your Apple ID settings.

On Web / Desktop

  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

  • Just like on iOS, your free trial automatically turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.

  • You can manage your billing details and subscription status directly from Griply’s account settings on the web.

Automatic Renewal & Cancellation

Your free trial automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the 7 days. After that, your subscription renews automatically according to your chosen plan (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel.

  • On iOS: Cancel directly via your Apple ID subscription settings.

  • On Web / Desktop: Cancel via Griply’s billing settings in your account.

If you cancel during your active billing period, you’ll retain access to all Premium features until the end of that period.
